Pairadocs is a podcast with a Christian take on life, family, and culture. Jimmy and Josh will provide marriage and parenting insight, to be sure.  However, don't be suprised if other topics emerge,  such as sports, entertainment, politics, or the latest episode of Pioneer Woman - we have way too many women in our lives!

As you settle in this Christmas season, after a long night of wassailing, caroling, and ushering Aunt Betty to bed after having had too many slices of rum cake…We’d love for you to take a listen as the guys discuss two distinctly different Christmas topics (Hence, the bi polar Christmas designation); the importance of establishing family Christmas traditions and how to handle unruly family members.

Dec 25, 2017

This week the boys sit down with Bri McKoy the author of the recently released book, Come and Eat: A Celebration of Love and Grace Around the Everyday Table.  It was a great discussion on family, marriage, and…actually, who am I kidding?  After I read the title, all I could think about was Taco Bell…

Many of you have seen the controversial Netflix series, 13 Reasons Why.  Since this show has sparked so much fascination with teens, and full-blown panic with parents, Jimmy and Josh have decided to explore the issue of teen suicide and self-harm this week.  They separate fact from fiction, and offer up some advice to parents as to what can be done about it.

Both of these guys are married.  Both love their wives.  But this week, they kick around the difficult issue of, not just loving their wives, but making sure their wives feel as though they are their number one priority.  Everybody knows we should make our spouses number one, but it’s easier said than done.  It looks good on paper, but as my old football coach used to say, “We don’t play on paper!”

Dec 11, 2017

If you look at the list of top ten teen sins, you see that the basic cause is peer pressure.  But why are kids so susceptible to peer pressure?  It seems that they want to be accepted by their social group so bad that they’ll do anything…including violate their own moral, ethical, and faith boundaries.  That my friends is called low self-worth.  But where on earth does that come from?  Listen in this week as the boys discuss the origins of low self-esteem in our kids.

Nov 27, 2017

We are so passionate about our nation’s, church’s, and family’s lack of contentment, that we filled two shows.  This week is part one.  We were going to leave it just one show, but then there was all this other info that we felt had to be added.  I mean, we couldn’t just leave it like that unfinished, could we?  It had to be better, in fact this show on contentment could never be good enough, right?  We have to keep working to get it just right.  I’m not sure we can get it done in just two shows…maybe we need three shows to get the topic on contentment JUST right…

Nov 13, 2017
